Contactor & Overload Relay:When selecting electric switch, what are inching and plugging?

Inching means to Off the circuit before the motor reaches to the highest speed.

At this instant, MC On-Off the start current of the motor thus consumes contactor contact in great deal.

Plugging Off the spinning MC to perform a break to the motor and On the reverse spinning contactor to fast break which easily damages the reverse spinning contactor contact.
